The Blacklist (2013– )

A highly articulate, erudite and intelligent businessman and mastermind, “Red” Reddington, has allegedly been on the “10 Most Wanted List” of various U.S. law enforcement agencies for over 20 years. The legend is that Red is as elusive as he is clever, controlling a labyrinth of creative enterprises, coupled with uncanny ability to gather and finesse information at the drop of a hat. On the first day at FBI for a new female profiler fresh out of Quantico, Red offers to bandy wits with the FBI. Red promises to deliver various criminals and plots previously unknown to any branch of law enforcement… and all Red requests in return is to choose his muse.

Westworld (2016– )

Westworld isn’t your typical amusement park. Intended for rich vacationers, the futuristic park — which is looked after by robotic “hosts” — allows its visitors to live out their fantasies through artificial consciousness. No matter how illicit the fantasy may be, there are no consequences for the park’s guests, allowing for any wish to be indulged.

Stranger Things (2016– )

Dustin, Mike, and Lucas’s best friend Will disappears one night and soon the whole town is looking for him. Even though they are forbidden, the trio searches for their friend and runs into a girl with shaved hair. They find out that she knows Will and her name is Eleven. Eleven, as they later realize has telepathic powers and is on the run. While watching Stranger Things, we are taken on a journey of 3 stories full of clues, mysteries, and power that all come together in the end.

Homeland (2011– )

Carrie Mathison, a CIA operations officer, is on probation after carrying out an unauthorized operation in Iraq. As a result, she has been reassigned to the Counter terrorism center. Whilst in Iraq, she was warned that an American prisoner had been turned by Al-Qaeda. When Nicholas Brody, a U.S. Marine Sergeant, is rescued after being held hostage since 2003, she suspects that he is the one. While Brody is received home as a war hero, Carrie goes to any lengths necessary to catch him out.

The 100 (2014– )

Set 97 years after a nuclear war destroyed the Earth, the last humans live in space stations which have banded together to create the “Ark”. In the “Ark” every crime no matter the reason for it or it’s severity is punishable by death. (“Floating”) But the “Ark’s” life support is failing and 100 teens who committed “crimes” are declared expendable, and are sent to Earth to find out if it is habitable. They are sent with wristbands that monitor their health and send it to the “Ark”. The 100 quickly develop a “no law” rule on Earth, but while in search for food the teens discovered they are not alone. There are other humans on Earth, as well as mutated animals.

Supernatural (2005– )

The story revolves around two brothers, Sam and Dean Winchester as they follow their father’s footsteps, hunting down evil supernatural creatures such as monsters, demons, and even fallen gods while trying to save innocent people along the way. Continuing the “family business” after their father’s death, the brothers soon discovered that the “hunt” doesn’t just involve slashing and hacking monsters and demons but also dealing with more powerful creatures such as angels, reapers, and even Death.

Arrow (2012– )

Oliver Queen and his father are lost at sea when their luxury yacht sinks, apparently in a storm. His father dies, but Oliver survives for five years on an uncharted island and eventually returns home. But he wasn’t alone on the island where he learned not only how to fight and survive but also of his father’s corruption and unscrupulous business dealings. He returns to civilization a changed man, determined to put things right. He disguises himself with the hood of one of his mysterious island mentors, arms himself with a bow and sets about hunting down the men and women who have corrupted his city.

Riverdale (2017– )

After the death of one of the rich and popular Blossom twins on 4th July, the small town of Riverdale investigates the murder. The series starts in September, the beginning of a new school year that brings new students, relationships and reveals the mysteries of the past 4th July.

Big Little Lies (2017– )
